- A central ABS controller automatically pulses the brakes rapidly to help prevent wheel lockup during hard braking
- By avoiding an uncontrolled skid, the driver is then better able to maintain control of the vehicle to help steer clear of potential collisions
- The ABS option replaces the rear drum brakes with disc brakes to facilitate surer, more confident stopping performance
